Beautiful day!

Had an awesome day today. Started out with fotoshooting for the label Aaalt. Most adorable dresses for girls and shirts for boys. Than had a good afternoon with my sister just going around our town and shop some. I bought a lovely pink shirt with bow at the neckline. So nice! 

The pictures I shot today where with my stephdads Canon 1100D. I'm trying to get more hold on ligthing and try as much for the right diafragma and shuttertime as possible to get the right effect. It's working pretty well. I don't have many pictures done yet from our shoot today, but I do have some of our location. Later on I made some pictures at home. I like really light pictures, as well in lighting as in feeling, so I tried some different settings inside the house to see what would work best.

Dreamers

Sometimes I wonder. Is it true that we can live out our dreams? If we would really try? Although I am firmly convinced we are to chase our dreams, I'm not sure we can all get what we want. I just hope and pray my dreams are Gods dreams and He will help me live them.

But I do get encouraged when I bump into someone who actually is a dream chaser and is living it out. It just gives me such a boost to not give up my dreams and visions of life.

Let me introduce Nadia Meli (see below). I just got to know her today (not in person, although I am sure I would have some good conversations with her, as her vision is almost same as mine). Somebody who actually is commenting on my blogs has introduced her work to me. I just get so inspired by people who live their dream. And this photographer is doing it so well. The lights, the moments, the love are just dwelling out of her work. It is the reflection of what I would love to do. Although of course I do want to develop my own handwriting. But I love it how she too believes LOVE is the most important thing in life and surely life is too short to hesitate. If we have the chance we should grasp it. But for now I have to do it with my dreams. I'm actually writing out a plan for my future. I do want to develop in photography and I am very aware I need to learn a lot and need training (and a new & better cam...anyone feeling generous?), but I also want to do more in graphic design and styling (love to do bridal styling in the sence of styling a wedding). The last two I am convinced I've learned enough about to use for work...the first one...hummm I need to train it in order to make a good living out of it. But as I said...I'm dreaming, praying and hoping these plans are God's plans.

Beautiful Wedding (yes please!)

Aaron and I have been together for over a year now. We got engaged fairly quickly to most standards. But we knew getting engaged was the right commitment and we feel like God has blessed it. We have to go to a lot of trouble to get together. The immigration plans are a lot of paperwork and it's just not romantic at all. But we knew what we where getting into and a promise is a commitment. Several people said; "You can still get out of this and choose another road if it's so much trouble". Luckily non of my close friends said this to me, because I would take it to heart if they where saying this. But instead I can state: "no I can't get out of this." First of all because I don't want to because I love Aaron so much and second of all because I've already made a commitment. A promise! Promises are to keep. Big and small. And ofcourse we sometimes made promises to quick and can't keep them, but this one I thought over quite much and  I am able to keep it.

But with all the paperwork being so incredibly unromantic I have to lift the romance up by googeling and pinning a lot (i repeat a looooot) of wedding inspiration. So here I've put together three themes. Enjoy with me!

Jessica's Bachelorette Party

My good friend Jessica is soon to be married. And so there was a desperate need for a bachelorette party. Few of my friends organized it. We had a blast! They asked me to make some pictures. It was an excellent way for me to yet again; practice. I see my flaws but I'm staying positive. So many pretty things to photograph! Especially the flowergarden is burned in my eyes. I absolutely loved it!
